Alice Nine Channel Alice9 ちゃんねる Nico Nico Douga January 18th, 2013 [2013-01-18] with Super Channel Subtitle & Translation

Notes:
•   "Febreze" is a brand of air-fresheners
•
•   "Napoli's" is an Italian restaurant chain
•
•   "Kouhaku" is an annual end-of-year show in which two teams of artists/musicians, separated by gender, compete against each other. It is considered an honour to be invited to perform at the show
•
•   When Saga talks about Nao telling dirty jokes and then getting told off by NHK (broadcaster), he is probably referring to an incident where DJ OZMA, a musician, put on a controversial performance and was then banned for life
•
•   "Senkou" is supposed to help them come up with answers because it means "a flash (of light, brilliance, etc)"
•
•   Nobita and Gian are characters from the comic / cartoon "Doraemon". Nobita is the protagonist and Gian is considered as the antagonist
•
•   I think Saga misunderstood the very last question, and thought it meant "borrow from" and not "lend to" because the words sound similar in Japanese

Alice Nine Channel Alice9 ちゃんねる Nico Nico Douga December 7th, 2012 [2012-12-07] Subtitle & Translation

Notes:
  • There is a mistake at 02:29. Tora says "I only know because I saw it on the quest...". It should be "I only know because I saw it on the news..."
  • In Japan, you place your "outdoor" shoes in a shoe cabinet at school and wear designated ones for indoors, which is how your shoes can get stolen
  • In Japanese, the word for "coconut" is "ココナツ coconatsu". "Natsu" is also the word for "Summer"
  • The cooking show Shou is referring to at 17:59 is "Moco's Kitchen", hosted by actor Hayami Mokomichi. He's known to exaggerate the way he puts on seasoning

Notes:
  • "BUMPER" is a Nico Nico user who does live broadcasts
  • "Kaiji" is a comic/live-action movie about gambling. The sequel of the live-action movie stars the actress Yoshitaka Yuriko as one of the leads. I don't quite get what they where talking about that the very end because I haven't seen the movie
  • "Anpanman" is a children's book / cartoon. "Kokin-chan" is a newer, good character while "Dokin-chan" is a villain. "Kokan" means "the nether regions"
  • The "shitsumon kurekure" part of the e-mail address literally means "gimme questions"
  • "Liar Game" is franchise about a tournament where people have to lie to each other
  • Goldfish scooping is a popular carnival game. The paper scoopers are called "ぽい poi"
  • In Japan (and Asia?) culture, there are some who believe that there are "guardian spirits" that dwell within natural landmarks. It's usually the largest of the creatures that dwell in said place
