Last night, Chanel held its biannual, extravagant Métiers d’Arts show in Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. In this pre-fall collection, titled Paris-Édimbourg, Scotland and Chanel's intertwined heritage were celebrated as well as some extremely talented specialty craftsmen: Lemarié for feathers, Desrues for the jewels, Maison Lesage for lace embroidery, and Scottish cashmere company, Barrie, for knitwear.
